A five-acre site overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this 5,500 sq ft house emerges in response to specific site conditions and refers to Case Study Houses of the 1950s. Exposed steel and concrete along with the integration of the panoramic landscape shape the house. Sustainable energy and material strategies integrated throughout. Large expanses of operable glass open the two-story main living volume to prevailing onshore breezes and seasonal Santa Ana winds.
