An undulating metal wall gives a powerful identity to two 2,200 sq ft single-family residences on a small Venice lot. The folding metal skin pushes and pulls, while organizing circulation and entry sequences into the units. This unifies the composition of the individual buildings into a coherent whole. Caverns of cascading light on the interior spaces are created by providing transparent reveals and wall shifts.
